The COPE standards

The Standards for Integrity and Independence (SII) are a modernized version of the current Standards for Commercial Support (SCS) that include some terminology updates and provide clear, streamlined instructions for the following areas:

  1. Standard 1Ensure Content is Valid
  2. Standard 2Prevent Commercial Bias and Marketing in Accredited Continuing Education
  3. Standard 3Identify, Mitigate, and Disclose Relevant Financial Relationships
  4. Standard 4Manage Commercial Support Appropriately
  5. Standard 5Manage Ancillary Activities Offered in Conjunction with Accredited Continuing Education
